Gulkhani was an Uzbek classic poet who was fluent in Persian and Turkish. He was known for his artistic depiction in literature and his subtle skill in using expression. He lived in the 18th and early 19th centuries and had a significant place in the literary environment of Kokand. He created poetry under the pseudonyms "Gulkhaniy" and "Jurat".
