The presence of future specialists’ foreign language communicative competence is one of the more recent requirements for high school foreign language proficiency. It is defined as a specific level of language proficiency, speech, and social and cultural set of knowledge, skills, and abilities that enable individuals to vary acceptably and appropriately their communicative behaviour in a communicative way depending on the functional predictors of foreign language communication and serve as the foundation for qualified information and creative activities in a variety of fields. Students’ willingness to use the opportunities of a foreign language for professional self-education is correlated with their communicative structure and levels in that language.
