This is a master’s dissertation focusing on improving the system of exercises that develop speaking skills for students at the A2 level. The research includes the classification of foreign language learning skills, communicative tasks for the development of speech skills, determination of the initial level of speech skills of high school students, features of the methodological system for the development of speech skills at the A2 level, types and peculiarities of exercises that develop speaking skills, and practical results of the experiment.
