Middle Adulthood is a long period in the life span, subdivided into Early Middle Adulthood (age forty to age fifty) and Advanced Middle Adulthood (age fifty to age sixty). Physical and psychological changes become more apparent during this stage. It is a time of stress, danger, awkwardness, achievement, evaluation, empty nest, and boredom.
