Alisher Navoiy was born in 1441 in Herat, where he developed a passion for Persian-Tadjik literature and studied under renowned poets and scholars of his time. Despite not having a family or children, he dedicated a large part of his wealth to charitable works, including the construction of various public structures and support for education and talent development. He had a close relationship with the great Tadjik poet Abdurrahman Dzhami, who was his friend, mentor, and spiritual guide.
